• World Schools Festival teams up with Australian company OVO
• Fans able to access content from the tournament from across the globe
• Available on both mobile and desktop
The World Schools Festival will be streamed across the planet after joining forces with OVO – the cutting edge Australian telecommunications company that puts the fans first.
Now in its second year, the World Schools festival will see ten South African rugby teams face ten international outfits across four days of action at the beautiful Paul Roos Gymnasium in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
While thousands will be attending the tournament, taking place from 26-30 March, those unable to be there will have the option to watch the event live or delayed-live, from wherever they are in the world.
Jon Phelps, founder of Carinat Sports Marketing – the company that established the World Schools Festival – is excited about the partnership.
“We are thrilled to have OVO on board. They’re a world-class company offering a world-class product, and it’s only fitting to have them involved with a tournament of this magnitude” said Phelps. “We wanted to ensure that, given the interest from around the globe, fans could watch the World Schools Festival no matter the place or the time zone.”
The sign-up process is simple, and at a once-off cost of approximately R106.00 (9.99 Australian Dollars), viewers will have access to OVO’s entire sporting bouquet for a six-month period, including the 2019 World Schools Festival, as well as highlights of last year’s event.
OVO’s Chief Executive Officer Matt Jones said that the company was delighted to be extending their footprint to South Africa.
“The World Schools Festival is a one-of-a-kind event and interest surrounding it is extremely high. We at OVO believe that sport is about two things – achieving greatness and sharing it with the fans – and we’re ecstatic to be able to give the fans access to great schoolboy rugby” said Jones.
